ABOUT US.
Studio Lore was founded by interior designers Jaime and Sam, whose creative partnership began in 2018 within an architectural practice in Brisbane. They collaborated with ease from the start — sharing curiosity, a respect for detail and an instinct for how ideas unfold.
Each has since led projects across a multitude of sectors, deepening their own craft. Reuniting with new experience and knowledge they form Studio Lore: a practice built on trust, balance and the belief that design is storytelling.
Jaime and Sam lead the studio as a collaborative partnership, pairing Jaime’s narrative driven foundations with Sam’s detailed technical delivery to create cohesive, considered interiors that are both poetic, client driven and practically realised.

With over 25 years shaping interiors across retail, hospitality, workplace, cultural projects and more, Jaime brings creative vision and technical precision to every brief. She believes design should tell the story of place and people, balancing commercial purpose, emotional depth and crafted detail. Before co‑founding Studio Lore, she led award‑nominated projects recognised by the DIA and IDEA Awards, and her work has been featured within publications such as Artichoke, Inside and Indesignlive. A respected mentor and lecturer at Torrens University and Griffith University, Jaime also finds passion nurturing emerging designers through considered teaching and collaboration.
At Studio Lore, Jaime continues to explore how storytelling, sustainability, and craftsmanship can intertwine — building project foundations that are grounded, refined, and deeply connected to their context.

Sam is a driven, client‑focused designer with 10 years’ experience shaping award winning interior projects across early- education, government, workplace, health, retail, retirement living, multi-/residential sectors, and now specialising in Residential Design - from budget conscious renovations to high-end living, each project approached with the same level of care, detail and integrity. Sam pairs a keen artistic eye and collaborative process with precise technical knowledge to create holistic, buildable outcomes that honour scope and budget
At Studio Lore, Sam leads projects with an inquisitive and approachable manner. She delights in detailing custom cabinetry, sourcing new products and finding new makers to realise a cohesive, holistic and timeless design that facilitates everyday rituals and routines - ready to evolve with the inhabitants as they do.
