Studio Lore  is an interior design practice co-founded by Jaime and Sam in the Northern Rivers. With over 35 years of combined experience, we create interiors that tell meaningful stories—rooted in place, crafted with care, and designed to last. We believe in timeless design — spaces that transcend trends, promote longevity and sustainability. Every detail is considered, every material and application chosen with integrity.

Our approach is deeply client-focused. We listen, interpret, and collaborate to shape spaces that reflect the lives and values of those who inhabit them. We believe that every space and inhabitant  holds a narrative. Our role is to uncover it—through deep listening, thoughtful collaboration, and design that responds to people, place, and purpose. We design spaces that speak to memory, meaning, and identity.

Our interiors are crafted with care, rooted in context, and built to endure. Like the lore that inspires our name, every project from inception to completion is timeless, soulful, and deeply personal. Whether whispered through materials, shaped by place and form, or told by the people who inhabit them, our spaces hold and  continue to tell and promote new stories to come.

Our Design Ethos.
Timeless  |  Lore is ancient, enduring, and deeply rooted. It aligns with our commitment to design that transcends trends and honors longevity.
Client Connection     |     Every client brings their own lore - their personal history, rituals, values and aspirations. Our studio becomes the interpreter of that story.

The word Lore refers to traditional knowledge, stories, and wisdom passed down through generations. It’s not just information—it’s lived experience, cultural memory, and the emotional texture of history. Lore is what gives meaning to place, people, and ritual.

Craft and Detail    |     Lore is often embedded in objects, rituals and materials - both old and new. It speaks to our appreciation for craftsmanship and emphasis to meaningful detail and investigation.
Cultural and Site Sensitivity  |  Studio Lore respectfully acknowledges the land, place, heritage and lores brought down by the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we work - the Bundjalung people of the Northern Rivers and the Turrbal and Jagera peoples of the Brisbane region. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and  recognise their enduring connection to country, culture and community
